There are several key components
to the ideal process for a successful Community Assessment. The components
include data collection, analysis, prioritization, and the completion
of an assessment report. Community Asset Builders, LLC will work with
you to determine the appropriate mix of components for your circumstances
and reporting needs.
Data Collection
Data collection includes steps for both primary and secondary data collection,
analysis and summarization. The standard data inventory recommended by
the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services is used as the starting
point for collection of secondary data, with minor modifications to include
additional indicators deemed necessary for conducting analysis. Primary
data can be collected using various tools and options developed by Community
Asset Builders, LLC.
Analysis
Primary and secondary data sets are analyzed, summarized, and integrated
based on the needs of the client.
Prioritization
Community Asset Builders, LLC has developed prioritization tools to assist
clients in identifying the top issues facing their communities.
Report Completion
Once the above steps are completed, the primary and secondary data will
be integrated with the results from the prioritization process. A report
will be developed, including trended data tables and graphs, along with
photos from the community. Typical reports include ten leading issue areas
and a full discussion of the challenges, accomplishments and opportunities
linked to each.
